Launching AI Conversations in the South West
We’re still buzzing from LifeIn AI 2025, our pilot event that took place on Wednesday, 9th April at the incredible Market Hall in Devonport, Plymouth. What began as a bold idea to bring the conversation around Artificial Intelligence to the South West became a truly unforgettable day of innovation, inspiration, and connection. We even made it on the telly…

A Free, Inclusive and Accessible Experience
We’re proud to say that LifeIn AI was completely free to attend, made possible by the amazing support of our 7 sponsors and 16 event partners. Together, we raised £9,100 in sponsorship, which covered all venue and event costs, a testament to the power of collaboration and community support. We're incredibly grateful to every organisation that backed this pilot and helped make it a reality.
With 450 tickets registered and over 300 attendees on the day, the venue was alive with energy as a wonderfully mixed crowd, 51.3% B2B professionals and 48.7% members of the general public, came together to explore what AI really means for all of us: in work, in life, and in the future. The event even caught the attention of the BBC, who joined us in the morning and featured LifeIn AI on BBC Spotlight South West. An unexpected but hugely welcome showcase for what we hope will spark ongoing conversation, curiosity, and collaboration across the region.
Hands-On AI, Real-World Talks, and Electric Atmosphere
The day was jam-packed with activity. From robot dogs and drone demos to VR experiences and wearable tech, the innovation on show was outstanding. We had expert-led workshops, a buzzing AI marketplace, and keynote talks from brilliant local minds. The immersive dome shows brought AI to life in a spectacular, family-friendly style.
The event ended in a live podcast recording hosted by Paul Philpott, where a panel of AI experts tackled the big “elephant-in-the-room” questions and explored how we can all embrace AI with confidence, not fear.
Looking Ahead to 2026
We created LifeIn AI to be a space where everyone, regardless of background or experience, could explore the real potential of AI. Judging by the incredible response, there’s a huge appetite for more. So yes… we’re already planning LifeIn AI 2026!
We want to make it bigger, better, and just as accessible, and we’d love to hear from anyone interested in getting involved. Whether you're a business with tech to share, a thought leader with insight to offer, or an organisation looking to support inclusive innovation in the region, get in touch.>
